FORMAT:
36-hole stroke play championship for both divisions.
REGISTRATION:
All participants must check in at the registration table located near the scoreboard upon arrival on Saturday morning. Players will receive their player gift and receive information about the championship.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
Round one starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org/boysjunior & scga.org/girlsjunior one week in advance of the championship. Starting times will range from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m. each day of the championship. Starting times and pairings for round two will be based on round one scores and will be available approximately one hour after the conclusion of round one.
Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 8:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 8:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Players may plan arrangements for practice rounds at their own expense. Practice Rounds can be booked by contacting the Morongo Golf Club Pro Shop at 951-845-0014 up to seven days in advance of the date you wish to play.
Green Fee: $27 per player to walk. Identify yourself as a participant in the Southern California Junior Amateur Golf Championship.
FORMAT AND DIVISIONS:
All participants will compete in a 36-hole, stroke play championship (18 holes each day). The Boys Division will play both rounds on the Champions Course, the Girls Division will play both rounds on the Legends Course.
TEES AND YARDAGE:

Course Rating: 74.2 / Slope: 137 / Par 72.
Girls’ Division (Legends Course): Please see hole by hole yardages on the Yardage Information section of this portal.
Course Rating: 75.7 / Slope: 141 / Par 72.
DRIVING RANGE:
The driving range will be open by 6:30 a.m. on both days of the championship. Range balls will be provided complimentary on the driving range for all participants.
FOOD SERVICE AND PURCHASES:
The restaurant and snack bar will be open by 6:30 a.m. on each day of the championship. Players will be on their own for breakfast as well as any other miscellaneous food and beverage purchases.
The SCGA/SCPGA will host a player’s lunch immediately following play on both Saturday and Sunday for participants only. Caddies and spectators will be on their own for all food and beverage purchases during lunch in the restaurant. Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.

*Holiday Inn & Suites is offering a discounted rate for participants in the Southern California Junior Amateur Golf Championship on a first come, first served basis. A rate of $119 + tax per night (Standard room) has been secured for the nights of October 18 - 20. When calling to make a reservation, please reference “So Cal Junior Am” to secure this rate.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R&A govern play.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION / PULL CARTS & PUSH CARTS:
Motorized golf carts are prohibited during the championship. All players, caddies and spectators must walk. Pull or push carts are permitted; however, the club does not rent them. Special accommodation will be made for disabilities.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
Players may provide their own caddie (See section on Automotive Transportation). Caddies must adhere to the dress code listed in section below. A player may not use a parent, step parent, or guardian as a caddie during the championship proper. Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the club.
DRESS CODE & CLUB POLICIES:
Players and caddies must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes. Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts and tank tops will not be permitted. Cell phones may only be used in your automobile or in the locker room.
CANCELLATIONS:
To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of an SCGA/SCPGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at (818) 980-3630, or by clicking here. If a player needs to withdraw on the morning of the event, notify the SCGA staff person through the golf shop staff at the host venue. Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions. Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
